Details: Do you want to make a positive difference to the way Canberra sustainably manages waste and recycling? ACT NoWaste, in ACT Government is seeking a motivated, dedicated and high performing Senior Director to lead the Waste Policy, Regulations and Partnerships team.
ACT NoWaste is unique in recycling and waste management in Australia. We work across both state/territory and local government-level functions, which provides opportunities to influence and contribute efforts to improve waste management outcomes at local, regional and national levels.
You will join the ACT NoWaste team that is diverse, innovative and professional and who come from a wide variety of backgrounds. We welcome people with experience in multidisciplinary areas and believe the more diverse our knowledge base is, the better our result will be.
You will lead three teams on waste policy, regulation and partnerships by providing leadership and direction through the provision of high-level strategic advice and coordination support. Full information is available in the Position Description.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:
- Drivers Licence (C-class) (useful, not mandatory).
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in business management, communication, public policy, regulation or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- The position may require attendance at interstate conferences, meetings and site visits.
Note: A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. Please note, this position is in a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
