Details: The Learning Teaching Branch is seeking a high performing administration and equipment officer to support programs and projects within the Academy of Future Skills team.
The position involves supporting the Academy of Future Skills to fulfil equipment requests for schools. This may include locating equipment, checking equipment and the delivery and collection of the equipment from ACT Public Schools across the ACT. The officer will also support general Academy business, as well as working flexibly across the broader Learning and Teaching team to manage emerging work pressures.
This position is for up to 12 months from February 2025. The position will be at a 0.4 Full-time equivalent (2 days per week) and the work may be spread across the week on days to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:
- Driver’s license is essential as the role includes travel within the ACT
- The position requires a Working with Vulnerable People Check
- The role will require manual handling and lifting of equipment according to equipment standard operating procedures.
Highly Desirable
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft suite of applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Good IT skills to support the maintenance of equipment
- An interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics education
- Experience working in a school or school support office
Note: This is a temporary position available 19 February 2025 until 18 February 2026. This position is part-time at (14:7) hours per week and the full-time salary noted above will be pro-rata. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
