Details: Telopea Park School is seeking a dynamic and collaborative SLC to lead learning in our Arts and Design faculty in the high school (Years 7-10). The SLC will lead the delivery of Australian Curriculum within the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (IB MYP) framework. As a leader in the IB MYP, you will lead the faculty in meeting the requirements of both Arts and Design subject guides. IB MYP experience is not essential, however you must be willing to undertake relevant IB professional learning. The position will have carriage of the strategic direction of whole school responsibilities.
Key duties include:
- Lead pedagogy, curriculum, assessment and reporting within the Arts and Design learning areas.
- Lead and support a positive and collaborative staff culture.
- Promote and maintain strong student relationships and family partnerships.
- Undertake an appropriate teaching load and other duties as determined by the Principal.
- Lead whole school responsibilities.
- Support the senior leadership team to implement and deliver programs that improve outcomes for all students.

- Proven ability to develop effective teams and build capacity of staff to improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes within this binational school.
- Lead teams and build the capacity of staff in all aspects of curriculum development and delivery, assessment and reporting and program evaluation, aligned to the MYP principles and practices.
- Contribute to the development and achievement of whole school strategic goals, implementation of the school plan and lead school improvement.
- Strong knowledge and expertise in leading learning in the Arts and Design area and lead whole school responsibilities.
