As the Assistant Director, Campaign Marketing, you'll play a pivotal role in driving high-impact marketing campaigns that showcase Canberra to interstate and international audiences. You’ll collaborate with a talented team of marketing professionals across PR, Media, Content, and Digital Services to develop and execute creative, strategic campaigns that generate awareness and drive engagement.

What you'll do:

  • Together in collaboration with Assistant Directors across PR/Social, Content and Digital teams, lead the development and manage the implementation of a range of destination marketing campaigns that include advertising, public relations, digital, and content marketing activities.
  • Manage and inspire a high-performing team, while coordinating with media and creative service suppliers to deliver compelling campaigns.
  • Oversee procurement of service providers and manage budgets, ensuring effective use of resources and delivering on campaign goals.
  • Analyse market research and campaign data to refine strategies and report back to leadership on performance and outcomes.
  • Provide essential administrative support, prepare campaign briefs and reports, and contribute to the success of the team.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:

  • Experience managing a team
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Marketing and Advertising and/or related discipline
  • Flexible work hours and some interstate travel
  • A qualification in marketing, public relations or related discipline is highly desirable
  • Current Australian driver’s licence
  • Experience working in the tourism sector is desirable

Note: This is a temporary position available early March 2025 for a period of up to 12 months and/or permanency. A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months. This position works in a hybrid arrangement, including activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.
