PIMHCS is a multidisciplinary service for parents with moderate to severe mental health problems and significant psychosocial stressors, who are planning pregnancy, are pregnant, and in the first year after birth. It is attachment theory based, trauma informed, with a strengths and recovery focus.
We aim to provide responsive and flexible therapeutic care, recognising the importance of the parent-infant relationship and keeping the needs and safety of the child central to our care and treatment planning.
