Details: ACT Long Service Leave Authority (ACT Leave) is a Statutory Authority of the ACT Government responsible for the administration of portable long service leave benefit schemes for covered industries within the ACT.

Our vision is to make portable long service leave universally understood and recognised as an important and accepted part of the employment landscape. Our activities are determined by the Long Service Leave (Portable Schemes) Act 2009, and we are governed by a Board of Directors appointed under the legislation.

You will be a valued member of the Compliance Team, who are responsible for:

  • Devising the Compliance Strategy
  • Executing, recording and reporting of compliance activities that support ACT Leave’s key functions and objectives
  • Assisting industry employers meet their obligations and to ensure workers are aware of their entitlements under the legislation by conducting educational activities.

As the Senior Compliance Officer, reporting directly to the Compliance Manager, you will conduct site inspections, employer visits, educational activities, enforcement processes and provide assistance to the Compliance Manager and the Chief Finance Officer.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Current Driver’s Licence not essential

Notes: This is a temporary position available for three months with possibility of extension. As the vacancy is an Expression of Interest and only for three months, selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
