Details: The Senior Executive Assistant provides a high level of administrative support to the Office of the Chief Information Officer and Digital Solutions Division (DSD) Executive Team.

  • Providing high-level executive support to the Senior Director, Office of the Chief Information Officer including writing, contributing and quality assuring a range of written briefs, agenda papers, reports, talking points, presentations and correspondence.
  • Managing coordination activities for DSD including the preparation and coordination of minutes and associated documentation, including follow up on action items. Acting as principal point of contact for issues, as required and maintaining knowledge of programs across the Division and Directorate.
  • Managing the workflow of the Office of the Chief Information Officer, undertaking research, reviewing incoming documentation and preparing high quality and timely responses to enquiries and correspondence with accuracy and consistency, under board direction from the Senior Director, Office of the Chief Information Officer.
  • Managing the office of the Chief Information Officer to ensure that the Senior Executive are always appropriately briefed, that matters are dealt with in a timely manner and lead a team of client-focused and professional staff.
  • Managing the committee governance functions for DSD including the provision of secretariat services and reporting for all committees within the Division. Excellent writing capability is essential.
  • Demonstrating self-drive and initiative to build and maintain strong positive and constructive relationships with the ability to work in a dynamic environment with limited supervision. Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and self-management.
  • Demonstrating effective communication skills, both in written and oral communication with an ability to identify and communicate critical issues, while maintaining integrity of points of detail.
  • Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification which contribute to the operations of ACT Health.

The position will be part of a team and as such should have a flexible and helpful approach to assist administratively in the strategic objectives and operational processes required for the Division.

Eligibility/other Requirements: Highly desirable:

  • Knowledge of Objective.
  • Knowledge of Trim.
  • Previous experience in an executive office.

A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
